AllerZip® Pillow Protector (2-Pack)

I just invested in some very nice resort quality pillows, so I did not want them to get dirty or get dust mites, etc… These pillow protectors have really lived up to my expectations. They are not squeaky on the pillows. The zipper works well. I do not notice they are on my pillows, which is exactly what you want.

This is a great company ive had zero problems with them and have been buying their products since bed bugs raided american like 10 years ago. Since that craze has died down I still buy their products cause im happy with it. Even though instead of procteding me from bugs it protects my pillows from Drool.

Putting this here as a PSA because I have a protect-a-bed mattress protector I bought several years ago, and just want to note it is not waterproof in any way like it claimed. Maybe it protects against dust mites, it is thin and easy to wash, but here I am at 4am washing it and cleaning up the soaking wet mattress for like the 15th time. Like I said, it was a few years ago, but beware. The company was acquired by someone else so maybe they have higher standards now.

I wanted to find a pillow protector to keep my pillows from staining. Reading reviews about "waterproof" protectors had me concerned about rustling noises and the balloon effect. I can say I'm sleeping fine with these protectors on my new pillows. I don't notice any noise. My new pillows are naturally plump, so I left the zippers about 2" shy of being closed. There is a momentary release of air when you first put your head on the pillow but after that it's the same as any new pillow. I've had great sleep, don't be concerned about those two issues with these protectors.

I bought these and the same brand mattress encasement at the same time. These help a lot with my allergies by keeping any sort of dust inside the pillows from puffing out when I lay my head down. Even with relatively new pillows, I have an air quality sensor and laying my head on my pillow absolutely caused a spike before I had these pillow cases. They're also surprisingly not that plasticy or scratchy. You could even get by using these without a regular pillowcase over the top. However, I definitely do prefer to put a regular cotton pillow case over it.

These pillow protectors are effective at protecting our pillows. They do not rustle or crackle from stiff fabric. They fit our standard size pillows very well. They do not feel hot under the pillowcases. I would buy these again.

I love these Protect a bed king pillow protectors, They are great quality, they are durable, and they fit perfectly on the King Pillows. They function very well underneath of my pillow case, They are soft and don't make a lot of crinkly noise like some do. They were easy to wash, and put right back on a pillow. One of the best features is the zipper at the end where my pillow doesn't try to wiggle out of the case.

Nicely made. They are practically air tight. I leave the zipper a tiny bit open to allow the air to escape. They are comfortable for me. The pillows do not get hard and I do not notice any annoying sounds from the fabric. Fabric is very smooth and even. My own pillow case on top and it's all good Whether or not they keep the dust mites out, I don't know...I hope so.

These are exactly what I needed. I have terrible allergies so I finally upgraded to real allergen-blocking, waterproof protectors and I'm so glad I did. These fit my king-size pillows perfectly and the zipper is smooth and hidden so it doesn't snag anything. They don't make that annoying plastic noise that cheaper protectors do, and they didn't have a weird smell out of the package. Washed well in hot water, dried fine, and they still feel soft under my pillowcase. If you need dust mite or bed bug protection, these are worth the price!

I negelected to get a picture of this one the pillow, but I'll try next time I swap out the sheets. We have this on a spare bed, so I wanted protection since it's not something we use often to keep the dust off of it in case of allergies by anyone staying overnight. I can't attest to whether or not it keeps bed bugs or dust mites away since we don't have those, but maybe someone else can comment that has experience in that area. The fit was perfect, it has a zipper enclosure so you can remove them for washing, they're soft and appear to be a great quality. I think it will protect our pillows just perfect and do exactly what we need them to do. We also got the bed protector as well.

I love these cases! I have been using them the last few weeks and theyre lovely. I suspected that my allergies my have been from my goose down pillows, so I washed these and placed them over the pillows. And theyre working marvelously! They are almost like hotel quality in the way that they help my pillows to refluff on their own. The interior is some sort of breathable layer, so when you zip them closed, it maintains enough air inside the case to keep the pillows soft and bouncy. They definitely keep my pillows safe, clean and feel so nice to lay on. The protectors washed easily and maintained whiteness. I would purchase these for every pillow I own. I want to get some for when I visit others lol

I ordered these Protect-A-Bed zippered pillowcases to help keep my pillows free of dust mites and they definitely look and feel like they are up to the task. They have a strong, durable lining which besides keeping out dust, dirt and dust mites, will also prevent any spilled liquid from getting onto your pillow. The zipper opens and closes smoothly with minimal effort and the seal is fairly tight because air stays in the pillowcase and puffs it up if you don't flatten it out before closing the zipper. I know it's not an air tight seal but it's about as close as you can get to one with just a zipper. The outside of the case isn't fluffy soft but it's still soft enough that you can sleep on it without it feeling too harsh against your skin. I definitely prefer the feel of a soft, cotton pillowcase but you have to give up some comfort in exchange for protecting your pillow. Each queen sized case is quite roomy because my queen pillows easily fit inside with some room left over. Overall I'm impressed and am happy that I chose to try these pillowcases. The only negative thing I could say is that I wish that they were a bit more pliable, soft and comfortable but they are still great at protecting my pillows and at helping to keep my dust allergy in check.

One of my kids has a strong reaction to dust. The allergist told us we should throw out the fluffy carpet, use an air purifier and lastly to put protection on the pillow cases, etc.. She likes to use king size pillows even though her bed is smaller. The allerzip pillow cases made quite a difference on the morning nose and sinus congestion. The cases didn't feel all plastic like some competitor brands. These cases didn't subtract comfort. They also washed well. This is a thumbs up for others suffering from allergies. This is definitely one of the quality brands.

After tossing out more bed pillows than I'd care to due to night sweats, I tried these water proof protectors. While they take away some of the pillows free form abilities, not having to replace an expensive pillow every 3 or 4 months makes the trade off worth it.

All in all this pillow protector is built to do exactly what it says it's going to do - the inner coating seems to be absolutely impervious to any and all contaminants - bed bugs, dust mites, sweat, drool, etc. It's perfectly sized and I had no trouble fitting my standard pillow inside. The zippers work smoothly. I have washed and dried them several times in hot water, along with the rest of my bedding, and they have so far come out perfectly, with no signs of wear, shrinkage or puckering to the outside, inside or zipper. They have no detectable odor of their own, and smell like my fabric softener. The only downside, they are a bit stiff to sleep on. It's probably the coating making them almost air-tight? I don't know for sure. I'm using the same pillows inside the protectors and the same pillow cases over them, but they don't feel quite the same.

These pillow protectors are well-made. The cases are large enough to easily fit even my husband's really puffy pillow, and they have a zipper closure to keep the pillow dust and mite-free. The fabric of the case is a rubber on the inside to create a waterproof layer and stop any water or wetness from getting through to the pillow, and the outside is a soft sort of fuzzy material. Overall, the covers are fairly thick compared to other covers that I have been using. I have no doubt that these do a great job of keeping my new pillows protected and clean. My issue is that I don't find them very comfortable. I use feather pillows, and I really like the softness and ability to move and puff them easily to give me the exact softness I desire when sleeping. These covers caused an issue with doing this. The fabric is thick enough that it causes my pillow to not be comfortable, and I woke up repeatedly with my ear hurting. These covers work so well that they trap air, and it makes it hard to fluff and press the pillow for the right amount of softness. What I have decided to use these for is the secondary pillow that we have on the bed, but don't sleep on at night. I tend to flip back and forth between my two pillows, so I'm using this protection case on the pillow that I'm not currently using, and when I wash the sheets weekly, I'll switch this case from one pillow to the other. That way, my pillows are still enjoying some of the protection, so they will be sanitary for longer, but this won't impact my comfort or sleep.

Overall, I think these pillow cases work well in terms of protecting pillows. There is a water resistant lining on the inside of these cases. This lining will protect pillows from stains, liquids, and mites. The zipper is high quality. The cases are nearly air tight and not at all breathable, so you need to ensure that any air pockets are removed before zippering the case. The material is very thick, but not in a good way. I feel like I am sleeping on some sort of industrial type pillow case. The material isn't soft, but it doesn't wrinkle. They are easy to wash and come out of the washer and dryer nicely. I'm sure these cases will do a much better job as keeping my pillow clean versus most other cases, but it comes at the expense of comfort. I still give this item 5 stars because it does exactly what it claims it will do.

While the quality of the stitching and zipper closure is good, these are noisy and not soft at all. I have found the same issue with these as I have other allergy proof waterproof pillow protectors. That they act like a balloon when you zip them up. Because they're not breathe the ball they become airtight. So it's like laying on a balloon. They may do a great job of protecting the pillow, they are not comfortable to sleep on in my opinion.

These are very nice quality pillow protectors. We have a rental and go through a ton of pillow protectors. We are always on the lookout for soft but durable products that will stand up to a lot of use and washings. These are made well; the zippers work well and the fit is nice around our standard and queen size pillows. They are soft and provide the layer of protection we need in a rental.
